Andhra Pradesh – Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy Slams Chandrababu Naidu

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister (CM) of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) slammed Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and former Chief Minister of AP.

On the 3rd of June, during an Iftar party in Guntur, AP Jagan criticised Naidu and said, “During the 2014 elections, 67 MLAs won on the YSRCP ticket. TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu purchased 23 of them in the past five years. Similarly, he bought three of our nine YSRCP MPs (the Members of Parliament.)”

Jagan said, in 2014, the TDP bought 23 MLAs of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) and now in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the TDP secured only 23 Assembly seats.

The YSRCP secured a total of 150 Assembly seats and 22 Lok Sabha seats, whereas the TDP secured 23 Assembly seats and 3 Lok Sabha seats.

After becoming the CM of AP, Jagan said he will follow the footsteps of his father, late Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, the former CM of AP.

Late Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy is still considered to be one of the best Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh, who always thought of the welfare of the citizens of the State and worked for them.

Jagan Mohan Reddy said, “I will try to serve the state better than my father Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy.”

Jagan also wished Eid to everyone at the Iftar party, organised by the YSRCP members at the Police Parade Ground in Guntur.

On the 4th of June, Mr. Jagan is scheduled to visit the Sri Sharada Peetam situated in Pendurthi, Visakhapatnam. After reaching the Peetam, he will meet Swaroopanand Swami and take his blessings.

He is expected to submit the list of MLAs elected in his Cabinet and seek the suggestions of Swaroopanand Swami.
